Nazi Mickey Mouse Cut Up into Pieces

I shuffled my Offensive Drawing Prompts and drew 3 cards, which were:

Jake (Adventure Time) โ€“ Cut up into pieces โ€“ Dresses as a Nazi

I was happy with the 2nd and 3rd card but I decided to rotate the first card, changing Jake to Mickey Mouse. So, the prompt I ended up with was:

Offensive Drawing Prompts

Mickey Mouse โ€“ Cut up into pieces โ€“ Dresses as a Nazi

I found that to be quite hilarious and it doesnโ€™t get much more offensive than that! Seeing Mickey Mouse dead and cut up into pieces is awful, but then again, if heโ€™s a Nazi then maybe itโ€™s not that bad.

Indiana Jones

I took a minute to try to visualize Mickey Mouse as a Nazi (the cut up into pieces part was simple enough). My first thought was to draw Mickey as a random Nazi soldier, but I thought drawing him as Adolf Hitler specifically would be even better. So, I decided to incorporate Adolf Hitlerโ€™s mustache, cap and arm band. Next, I pulled some references.

Adolf Hitler

After getting the references I realized Iโ€™d rather use Hitlerโ€™s hair instead of the military cap I first envisioned. I also decided to include the Iron Cross pin. Iโ€™ll be doing all my art using the Procreate App on an iPad Pro. Now itโ€™s time for the sketch:

Rough Sketch

I opted for the cap after all. I wasnโ€™t able to imagine Mickey with Hitlerโ€™s haircut. I also thought the cap made it clearer that heโ€™s a Nazi. I also added a tie. I donโ€™t know why but I felt it was a nice touch. For my sketch I wanted to leave Mickeyโ€™s ears still showing. I was afraid if I removed them then it wouldn’t be clear that this was still Mickey Mouse. But after looking at the sketch I realized the ears had to go. I also noticed I forgot the tail, but thatโ€™s easy enough to add when I do the line art.

Line art

Ears gone and tail added. I was fast and loose with my lines around Mickey, but the swastika and iron cross took a little bit longer to draw correctly. Iโ€™m obviously not winning any awards for my art but overall, Iโ€™m quite happy with it so far.

Colored

A bit of color which I sampled from my reference image of Mickey Mouse.

Colored with shading

I added some simple shading. Iโ€™m drawing the cartoon version of Mickey so no need to get fancy here.

Finally, I added shadow over a concrete texture I downloaded from google. Top it off with a little blood splatter and Iโ€™m done. The total time it took for this was just under two and a half hours.

The Offensive Drawing Prompts are a fun and interesting. The subjects arenโ€™t too complex so even a novice artist (like me) can enjoy using them.
